Power Games
This Research Drawing project aims to develop the artist’s engagement with a specific area, its surroundings, and an independent response to its particular elements, such as architecture, demographics, entertainment, community spaces, objects, and the neighbourhood.
AREA & IT’S IDENTITY
ART
Exploring the area becomes a tool to engage with its identity, generate ideas, develop inquiries and self-reflection, and engage with found objects. This opens up the creative space by not only observing and responding to the area, but also by engaging with its site-specific dynamics. By identifying its history, changes over time, major attractions, and communities, the creative possibilities expand, allowing new ways of thinking and new forms of drawing to emerge.
