Turn Pressure into Play

No Joy- No Freedom: Finding Your Creative Method

What is your method?

Your Method Matters

What is your method? How do you create?

What’s the label you’ve put on yourself?

  • I don’t do enough.

  • I do too much.

  • I’m burned out.

  • I push myself to prove I’m worthy.

But here’s the truth: The joy, the wind, the attention - often goes to the one who’s having fun.

The one who creates like a child, simply because they can. Everyone connects to that.

No joy → no freedom.

Small Daily Actions

Do something fun every day. Something small but different, even something silly.

This is how you get closer to your truest expression. It’s not dramatic. It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence, play, and experimentation.

Make it stand out

The Final Layer: Attitude

Your attitude is the last piece. No risk, no gain.

But this risk is subtle: choosing to be fully you. Letting go of the outcome.

As Bernini says in my favourite film:

“If something holds your creation back — forget about it.”

Drop it. Let it go. Try something different for a day, a week, or a month. Reprogram your experience of creating.

Every creative moment can be filled with:

  • Appreciation

  • Satisfaction

  • Presence

  • Joy

Because that’s where the real miracle lives.

Studio Practice: Mini Workshop

  1. Identify one small creative act that feels fun or playful. It can be silly.

  2. Give yourself 10–15 minutes to do it, without judging the outcome.

  3. Notice how the experience changes your energy, focus, and joy.

  4. Repeat daily - build a habit of creating with presence and play.

This trains your mind to prioritise joy and freedom over pressure, comparison, or external validation.
